Vin DiPippo
President & Co-FounderVin DiPippo is the President and co-founder of FOCUS24. He is well regarded as an expert in numerous technology subjects and his talents have been leveraged by an extensive list of clients, from small companies to Fortune 500 organizations. He is a featured speaker on security issues and infrastructure-related best practices.
In January, 1997, Mr. DiPippo joined SYTEX Systems Corporation, (now FOCUS24), as director of Technology. As the leader of SYTEX's technical resources, Mr. DiPippo established himself with the company and its clients as a definitive resource for network and systems expertise. Mr. DiPippo founded relationships and holds certifications with a number of major vendors including Computer Associates, International Business Machines, Cisco Systems, and Microsoft. Under his direction, FOCUS24 has grown into a renowned services company, specializing in Infrastructure Optimization and operations management.
Mr. DiPippo has been working with technology for over 25 years, including Microsoft technologies since the initial release of MS-DOS. He currently holds certifications as an MCP, including the MCSE, MCAD, and MCDBA.
Prior to FOCUS24 Mr. DiPippo was with RESPONSE Healthcare Information Management of East Greenwich, RI. He served as the principle software engineer for The Starting Line: System for Outcomes Measurement, an outcomes data collection and measurement system based on the analysis algorithms developed at the New England Medical Center. Mr. DiPippo also worked as a technology consultant. As a consultant, he developed the Integrated Alarm Network (IAN), a software system which monitors and organizes alarm telemetry received from fire alarm monitoring equipment. Prior to its retirement after almost a decade of service, IAN was responsible for handling fire alarm telemetry in many area municipalities.
Mr. DiPippo attended the University of Rhode Island where he studied Computer Science, Music, Electrical Engineering, German, and Chinese, and Johnson and Wales University, where he studied Baking and Pastry Arts. He is an avid pastry chef, musician, and linguist. He is a Trustee of the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council where he serves on various committees.
